still remember how lil i was in english (and still is). im pretty sure that all of us had the same "education syllabus" while we were in standard three.where there was an oral test in english. the teacher asked you questions about you and you answered,that kind of thingy. so i was there, sitting in front of my teacher (cant recall her name,sigh) nervously with senyum kambeng, waiting for her to shoot me with questions.as the formality, she asked me what is my name, where i live blablabla. then;
teacher: what do you want to be when you grow up?
me: surgery, i want to be a surgery
me: surgery, i want to be a surgery
it's surgeon btw, the ans that i wanted to say.maybe that's why im not a surgeon but an engineer-going-to-be (insyaAllah).hua hua.walhal biology dulu ngok gile dpt B4.
another one is when my family and i were about to get inside our car. my aunty was there as well and as far as i can remember, my dad was talking to her about her study. i think, i think la they were discussing about chief or head or something2. then i interrupted the conversation by saying;
me: alaaa ketua la.
dad: ana tau ke ketua ape dlm bi?
me: leader la
dad: ana tau ke ketua ape dlm bi?
me: leader la
you think i got it right? sure, try pronounce "leader" as tangga.
years later, im not sure what age i was but obviously when i was still slim and not as bulky as now (since someone said my tummy and ass have too much spaces!). a friend of mine, Afiq, who lives just across the street called me on the phone. that time our phone got that ID caller gizmo, so of course i could trace who was calling.
me: yes afiq?
afiq: eh camne ko tau ak kol ko?
me: biase la.ak kan psycho
afiq: eh camne ko tau ak kol ko?
me: biase la.ak kan psycho
later that day, i just knew what psycho means.
so
thanx to my dad who always reminds us to speak in english
thanx to UTP for making english as the medium of language
